The portable, battery-operated Prolite-60 field optical spectrum analyzer from Promax Electronica SA is suitable for testing WDM telecommunications systems. Other application areas include reflectometry, analysis of materials, fiber sensors, and testing of photonic devices such as filters, attenuators, couplers and isolators. The device covers 1250 to 1650 nm with a resolution of 0.15 nm and an accuracy of ±0.8 nm. An optional superluminescent light source covers a wavelength range of around 100 nm.
