CMOS CAMERA Basler Vision Components has introduced a compact 1.3-megapixel CMOS area-scan camera. The A622f has a global shutter and an IEEE-1394 interface. At full 1280 × 1024 resolution, the camera outputs at up to 24 fps. Employing the area-of-interest feature, it produces higher frame rates. Measuring 29 × 44 × 65.7 mm, it is suitable for analog camera users who want to upgrade to digital because it fits easily into the space occupied by many analog models. Combined with the proprietary BCam 1394 driver and a 1394 PC adapter board, the camera becomes a plug-and-play system.
