WILMINGTON, Mass., Dec. 17 -- Ahura Corp., a manufacturer of miniature optical subsystems for homeland security, life sciences and industrial applications, has introduced a line of miniature high-performance lasers for Raman spectroscopy. The company said the three miniature external cavity lasers emphasize high wavelength and power stability, high efficiency and a small footprint.
ECL-LSS-785-325: This UL-qualified multimode laser is in mass production and features up to 400 mW of output power. The power is user-adjustable. The laser is internally cooled by a TEC to assure stability. The unit features an FC connector for easy fiber coupling of the output light. The low power consumption and small footprint make it ideal for portable applications.
ECL-LSS-0.03-785-350 is a higher resolution version of the ECL-LSS-785-325, with a typical FWHM line width of 0.03 nm.
ECL-LSS 0.03 785-100 SM is a high-power, single-transverse-mode laser featuring 100 mW of SM power, ideal for Raman microscopy.
Ahura has a manufacturing facility in Wilmington, Mass. The startup is developing portable sensor technology based on its patented "optical engines."
