SINGLE-CRYSTAL FIBERS

Single-crystal fibers up to 1 m in length and with section diameters between 0.2 and 2 mm are suitable for use in optical devices such as lasers, second-harmonic generators and modulators. Manufactured by Fibercryst, they are available in doped and undoped oxide compositions including YAG, LiNbO3, KNbO3, BGO and Al2O3. The section of the fibers also can be designed as a disk, square or rectangle upon request.
