ANALYZER SYSTEM Designed to monitor pulsed industrial Nd:YAG and diode lasers for a range of parameters, the BA500 laser beam analyzer system from Ophir Optronics Inc. measures average powers of up to 1500 W and laser energies of up to 100 J. The portable instrument measures spatial and temporal beam profiles and energy per pulse, and records the results in digital form for storage and analysis. The system displays the intensity profile of the beam in real time, and allows the user to adjust the laser resonator and beam delivery optical system. The beam profile also can be displayed in a 3-D form that can be rotated to different angles and other elevations.
