Nikon Instruments Inc. announces the addition of the White Light total internal reflection fluorescence illuminator to its line of imaging products. The company says that the device makes all wavelengths available with standard microscopy fluorescent filters for specific applications. The multispectral system uses HBO, XBO and Exfo lamps, rather than lasers, and provides bright illumination with chromatic correction. It can switch among TIRF, variable angle oblique and standard epifluorescence illumination, making it suitable for research imaging.
