Beam-shaper modules suitable for use in laser materials processing applications are available from Limo-Lissotschenko Microoptik GmbH. The company says that the required intensity profile is generated at the target when the modules are positioned in the collimated laser beam. They produce spot sizes from 1 to 100 mm and linewidths from 0.1 to 2 mm. The modules also offer high homogeneities, from 1% to 5%, and efficiencies of up to 90%. An optional fiber collimator module for fiber-coupled lasers is available.
