LRS-9424 Gets 'Best in Test' Honorable Mention

LRS-9424 Laser Reliability, Burn-In Test System
BOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 14 –- Each year, through its annual Best in Test awards, Test & Measurement World magazine's technical editors honor products and services in the electronics test and measurement industry that they feel are important and innovative. One product the editors noted as meeting both criterion was ILX Lightwave’s LRS-9424 laser reliability and burn-in test system, which received an honorable mention in the 2005 Best in Test awards.   

ILX Lightwave President Lawrence Johnson remarked, “We are excited that the 9424 was recognized through the 2005 Best in Test awards. I believe that the success of this system has resulted from a product definition that was based on over 70 voice-of-the-customer interviews of laser diode reliability test engineers throughout the world, backed up by ILX Lightwave’s 19 years of experience in supplying laser diode instrumentation and test systems.”

Released in January 2004, the LRS-9424 was designed from the ground up to meet the flexibility, reliability and low cost of test requirements of laser diodes and LEDs used in FTTx (fiber to the x) and other cost-sensitive applications. Flexibility is provided by the 9424's unique heated fixture design that allows up to 32 different temperatures in a single chamber. Reliability and serviceability are demonstrated through the use of ILX Lightwave's proven laser control technology and the 9424's rear mounted, modular electronics. By using the LRS-9424, a user can lower his overall test cost by accommodating up to 1024 devices in a single system capable of running multiple test scenarios, each at a different temperature.
