The SmartTable optical table produced by Newport Corp. includes two active vibration dampers that dissipate to all of its natural vibration modes without creating additional resonance at lower frequencies. It uses proprietary iQ Damping Technology to provide up to tenfold improvement over other versions in reducing resonant structural vibrations and settling time. It also can minimize vibration of components that are attached to the table surface, and it features built-in sensors that allow users to monitor tabletop vibrations in real time. The table has a USB 2.0-compatible controller and analog output, and software is available to calibrate it for each experiment.
