DIODE LASER SYSTEMS Coherent Inc. announces its line of Cube lasers for metrology, bioinstrumentation, reprographics and the life sciences, such as flow cytometry and confocal microscopy. The diode laser systems are available at 375, 405, 440, 635 and 785 nm, with output up to 50 mW. They can be operated CW or at pulse repetition rates of 150 MHz and with analog, digital RS-232 and plug-and-play USB control. Using Windows software, a virtual control panel displays and controls such parameters as power, status, mode and temperature, allowing up to 127 lasers to be operated from a single computer. The laser head and electronics are integrated in a 40 × 40 × 110-mm package.
