A line of CW fiber laser modules covering three power ranges with ~1 µm of output has been unveiled by Nufern. Ranges covered are from 2 to 15 W, 15 to 25 W and 25 to 50 W. The modules integrate into OEM laser applications for industrial and manufacturing environments, and all of them include proprietary high-power optical fibers. Their compact monolithic fiber design renders them virtually maintenance-free and also eliminates the need for optical or mechanical realignment. They are supplied with standard or custom-designed pump couplers or connectors and, the company says, produce near-perfect diffraction-limited beam quality.
