The Miniature Variable Attenuator from DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. can be
used to set attenuation levels in the 0- to 60-dB range. Attenuation
levels are screw set with the two-port component, which offers
continuous adjustment with better than 0.1-dB resolution. Other
features include 250-dB backreflection and 0.05-dB maximum polarization
dependence loss. Measuring 46 3 12 3 10 mm, the attenuator was
specifically designed for panel and circuit-board mounting.
