The FO 7045 fiber optic cable stripping machine from Schleuniger Inc. can be programmed for a variety of stripping combinations. The system processes many cable types and thicknesses up to a length of 70 mm and an outer diameter up to 4.5 mm. It can strip the outer jacket, Kevlar, and buffer and primary coatings on single- and multimode cables in <14 s. Cable programs can be changed in <3 s without tooling or blade changes.
