DIRECT-DIODE LASERS Dilas Diodenlaser GmbH has introduced its direct-diode laser system based on the DL×30 platform. The 300-W system has an integrated on-axis camera and pyrometer for process control in soldering and plastic welding applications. Standard spot size is 1.4 × 0.6 mm. The sensor-controlled chiller measures water conditioning online and continuously controls water conductivity and flow rate. The laser head can be equipped with a variety of custom optics to adapt to specific applications. The power supply and control unit can be read out by Can-Bus so that an optional PC can be used for logging process data and for telediagnosis via modem.
