FT SPECTROMETER Newport Corp. has enhanced its modular Oriel MIR8025 Fourier transform (FT) spectrometer with a USB 2.0 interface and more powerful MatLab-based software with ActiveX control to facilitate ease of use. It is now a true plug-and-play instrument suitable for R&D applications such as laser diagnostics, fiber characterization and radiometry. It can be integrated as a subassembly into process control equipment. It has interchangeable subsystems that allow the user to configure the system to specific applications by changing parts. The source and detector are external, and the beamsplitter and windows can be easily and quickly changed.
