Armstrong Optical Ltd.'s IR106 infrared sensor module integrates the 160 × 120-pixel uncooled microbolometer array with state-of-the-art digital signal processing electronics. Its modular structure, low power consumption and variety of accessories make it suitable for sensory integration, OEM applications and third-party thermal imaging systems builders. It offers true power-in/video-out capability and full system control via the built-in RS-232 interface. Gain, offset, zoom, brightness, contrast and image display are all available via the interface, and the standard PAL/NTSC/composite video outputs can be enhanced by an optional FireWire output.
