The pco.4000 14-bit CCD cameras from Cooke Corp. offer integrated image memory, which enables recording at 128 MB/s. The thermoelectrically cooled devices feature low noise, 4008 × 2672-pixel resolution and an external intelligent power supply. Image data can be transferred to a computer via standard interfaces such as Camera Link and FireWire. With available exposure times ranging from 5 µs to 49 days, the compact cameras have applications in areas such as microscopy, aerial photography and quality control.
