GALVO AMPLIFIER Nutfield Technology Inc. has unveiled the miniature Class 1 QuantumDrive-1500 servo amplifier, which features an output power amplifier with improved performance, low-noise components that maximize the signal-to-noise ratio, low-drift components that reduce the effects of temperature variation, and a self-resetting fuse. The galvanometer-based amplifier can be configured to accept ±3-, 5- or 10-V input and accepts input power from ±15 to ±24 VDC. The circuits provide soft start/stop action, over position, open circuit, automatic gain control fail and over/undervoltage protection for laser systems and scanning mirrors.
