Matrix Vision GmbH has added a compact CMOS version to its line of industrial mvBlueFox cameras. The 1280 × 1024-pixel device features two inputs and two outputs, which can be used for trigger and flash. A hardware real-time controller enables polling the inputs, and output and image capture can operate in real time. Automatic exposure and gain control are featured. A USB 2.0 interface facilitates correct image transfer and bus bandwidth via a bulk transfer method. Preprocessing methods, such as horizontal and vertical mirroring, sharpening and Bayer color conversion, are integrated. Image capture can be accelerated by diverse binning modes. The camera comes with a C-mount lens with back-focus adjustment; CS- or S-mounts are optional.
