PicoQuant GmbH and Toptica Photonics AG have developed a high-power picosecond diode laser for the red and IR wavelength regions. The system combines PicoQuant's pulsed seed laser and Toptica's tapered amplifier technology in a master oscillator power amplifier arrangement. Available wavelengths are 490, 530, 780, 980 and 1060 nm, with a second-harmonic-generation option for 490 and 530 nm. Pulse widths are shorter than 100 ps FWHM, the repetition rate is from single-shot to 80 MHz, and peak power is up to 10 W.
