TUNABLE LASER The HSL-2000 is a high-speed scanning laser designed for use in optical sensing and in real-time optical imaging applications such as optical coherence tomography (OCT). Developed by Santec Corp. based on its external-cavity laser technology, the emitter features an output power of up to 10 mW at 1260 to 1360 nm. Wavelength tuning is continuous, and the speed is adjustable to up to 25 kHz, making the laser suitable for incorporation into high-resolution next-generation OCT systems under development for the identification of cancer and other medical conditions.
