Nortech Systems Inc.'s Intercon 1 division has released its InfiniFlex Industrial-Rugged IEEE-1394 cables that surpass 10 million flex cycles in harsh conditions. Because they are designed to withstand the bending, twisting and tugging of industrial robots, the cables are suitable for high-stress commercial environments. The 90067 cable comprises two discrete 28 arrayed waveguide grating (AWG) conductors (105/42) TC and two individually shielded twisted pairs of 28 AWG (19/40) TC. Foam polyolefin provides signal integrity, and dual shields of aluminum polyester Hi-Flex tape and reversed spiral shielding enable transmission continuity.
