MODULATOR MOUNT The Model 102 modulator/mount lab jack from ConOptics Inc. has a height adjustment range of 2.6 in. The lowest center line is 4.15 in., and the highest is 6.75 in. The mount is available with an alignment tool, which has the same diameter as the company's modulators (5 cm) with a 2-mm aperture at each end. Once the mount is adjusted to a laser beam, using a power meter/photodiode or beam profiler for maximum signal, the adjusting screws are locked and the tool is removed. The installation of the modulator ensures that the laser is aligned down the center of the modulator's crystals.
