Version 2.2 of LightTrans GmbH’s VirtualLab wave-optical design and analysis software has become available. Among the new or improved features, the complex amplitude field generators dialogues now contain a panel for selecting scalar or vectorial field. The default value, which is vectorial, can be changed. The transmission generators segment contains a panel for selecting scalar or vectorial transmissions. Such generators for sinusoidal, blazed and triangular amplitude-only and phase-only grating transmissions have been added to the user interface and optical system. Certain problems in the program have been fixed, including the minimum and maximum value calculation in vectorial complex amplitudes.
