Keithley Instruments Inc. has released the model 4200-SCS semiconductor characterization system for pulse generation and measurement. Its integrated PIV (Pulse I-V) package provides accurate measurement and fast time to market for high-k materials, thermally sensitive devices and advanced memory chips. The system performs laboratory-grade device characterization, real-time plotting, and analysis with precision subfemtoampere resolution. The PIV package is built upon a pulse generator card that features dual independent channels with a frequency range from 1 Hz to 50 MHz and that generates pulses as short as 10 ns. An embedded PC running under Windows XP is included.
