FIBER CLEAVERS Fujikura Europe Ltd. has launched the CT30 series high-precision fiber cleavers for fiber fusion splicing. They are half the size of their predecessor, CT20, with preloaded spring action to provide consistent and reliable repeatability. Designed for up to 12-fiber ribbon cleaving, the devices offer improved cleave angles (16 rotating positions and three heights, ranging from 6 to 16 mm) and blade life of 48,000 cleaves. Equipped with a fiber scrap collector as standard, the cleavers have a mechanically controlled blade and anvil speed.
