Renishaw Inc. has released a motion analysis software package to accompany its ML10 laser-calibration system. QuickView enables real-time, high-resolution analysis of linear or angular positioning accuracy, velocities or accelerations in a variety of machines and mechanical devices, combining the measurement capabilities of an interferometer with the ease of use of a conventional oscilloscope. Unlike an oscilloscope, the software differentiates incoming data to obtain velocity or acceleration versus time traces. Its features include live data display, three modes of data capture, exportable CSV data format, and pan and zoom analysis of data sets.
