Scanlab AG has introduced its hurryScan II 7, a 7-mm-aperture scan head that is equipped with either an analog or a digital standard interface and controlled by a proprietary RTC interface board. When used with the appropriate lasers, it marks at speeds of greater than 1000 characters per second. It uses the company’s dynAxis XS galvanometer scanners and is mechanically and electrically compatible with all other scan heads in the hurryScan II series. An optical fiber data interface is available as an option. Operating temperature is 25 ±10 °C, repeatability is <22 µrad, and gain error and zero offset are both <5 mrad.
