The SYS 40, SYS 65 and SYS 90 optical beam-handling systems have been launched by Owis GmbH. Based on a modular design, the system kits combine a profile rail and rider for easy replacement of a component in the optical axis, without having to change its adjustment. The SYS 40 has a 40-mm fixed optical axis and is suitable for optics of up to 31.5 mm in diameter as well as for linear 2- and 3-D setups. The linear setup benefits experiments that are sensitive to vibration and those involving large beam heights. The profile rails of all three systems are available with appropriate scale tape as an option.
