StellarNet Inc. has released the EPP2000-UVN-SR,a broadband spectrometer that operates in the 200- to 1100-nm range and that can be calibrated for precision measurement of absolute and low-level light intensities. The instrument includes a UV-enhanced, 2048-pixel CCD detector that provides 0.75-nm resolution with a 14-µm slit; an integrated sorting filter and detector lens; an SMA905 fiber optic input; and the SpectraWiz software suite, which includes LabView and other drivers. Via various software accessories, the device functions also as a spectroradiometer. It connects to PCs via IEEE-1284, USB 1 or USB 2 ports. Available options include integrating spheres, cosine receptors and fiber optic interface cables.
