Sill Optics GmbH & Co. KG has developed double-sided telecentric lenses for line and matrix cameras. Telecentricity on both sides of the lens softens the edge response symmetrically during defocusing, increasing the accuracy of the analyzing software and reducing the sensitivity of the system to position changes. Depending on the camera size, the lenses can cover fields of view from 8 to 100 mm, and available magnifications are from 1:1 to 6.25:1. The symmetrical design renders the lenses distortion-free.
