FIBER LASERS Koheras A/S has introduced rugged OEM versions of its distributed-feedback fiber lasers. The Boostik E15, C15 and Y10 produce up to 2 W of CW optical output and are packaged in a carbon-shielded module with a digital RS-232 interface and control software. The lasers are available at wavelengths from 1530 to 1580 nm and, optionally, in the 1-µm range. They are supplied with SMF-28 pigtailed output, polarization-maintaining or not, and with a free-space collimated output as an option. Spectral linewidth is a few kilohertz and, the company says, the lasers offer stable single-frequency and mode-hop-free operation.
