LASER DIODE DRIVER Announced by Lissotschenko Mikrooptik (Limo) GmbH, the LDD100 microprocessor-controlled laser diode driver operates diode bars with a current of 100 A and diode lasers with typical optical output of up to 100 W. The diodes can be driven in CW or in pulse-shape mode from 0 to 5 kHz. The device, which measures 380 × 220 × 80 mm, includes a Peltier driver and a temperature regulator. It runs on an 84- to 264-VAC supply and achieves rise times of up to 50 µs. Parameters can be set at the front control panel or by a computer via an RS-232 interface.
