For high-speed motion analysis applications, Mikrotron GmbH has unveiled the MotionBlitz Cube. The compact camera assists in seeing events that are moving too fast to be detected by the naked eye. The events are captured into the internal memory and hard disk of the camera to be played back in slow motion for viewing, analysis and documentation. The camera operates at up to 1000 fps with full 640 × 512-pixel resolution, and at up to 32,000 fps with reduced resolution. It is supplied with Windows-based software and a Gigabit Ethernet interface for fast data transfer.
