Ibsen Photonics A/S has introduced polarization-independent telecom gratings based on holographic stepper technology. The company says that the gratings, which feature 100% dielectric materials, offer thermal and environmental reliability and stability, high diffraction efficiency and low polarization-dependent loss. There are no polymers, epoxies, gelatins or metals in the optical path, nor elsewhere in the gratings. Their low angle sensitivity and modular design make them suitable for telecom reconfigurable add/drop multiplexer and wavelength-selective switch applications.
