TUNABLE LASER Manufactured by Santec Corp., the TSL-510 tunable laser is a compact benchtop instrument that offers a 120-nm mode-hop-free tuning range that is selectable from 1260 to 1680 nm. Typical optical output is 10 mW. The 100-nm/s wavelength sweep function makes the laser suitable for fiber optic component testing and materials characterization. The system includes a numeric keypad with a fluorescent display, USB and GPIB interfaces, and a LabView driver. Applications include telecommunications, gas sensing and spectroscopy.
