Elliot Scientific Ltd. has released the Dali E-2100 device alignment instrument. The unit includes a three-channel piezo driver for 0 to 150-V piezos, menu-driven alignment functions and an IEEE 488.2 interface. Optical power is received from a detector or power meter head with a 20-nA to 2-mA photocurrent. The instrument setup is adjustable for device geometries, mechanical positioners and stage combinations. Applications include the alignment of single-mode fiber to laser diodes and waveguide devices.
