The PTU-D300 modular computer-controlled pan-tilt units released by Directed Perception Inc. are designed for outdoor, shipboard and vehicle-mounted applications that require high payloads. They provide high-speed and accurate positioning of camera, laser, antenna or other payloads of up to 35 lb top-mount and up to 70 lb side-mount at pan speeds of up to 50°/s. The units are controlled from a host computer via an RS-232 or RS-485 interface. The small-form-factor devices offer multiple mounting options and a single connection point for all video, control and power. Tilt range is from −30° to 90° from upright, and pan range is 355°, with a 360° continuous-pan option including pass-through for video, IR, microwave and laser payload types.
