Ulvac Technologies Inc.Request Info
Ulvac Technologies Inc. has introduced the MS-E1S compound optical microscope that has an integrated infrared gold image furnace hot stage. It enables direct observation of materials science samples’ melting and recrystallization behavior during heating and cooling experiments in semiconductor and metallurgical investigations. Samples can be brought to temperatures as high as 1000 °C in 1 min and quickly cooled to room temperature. Images can be recorded in NTSC video format at 100×, 200× or 400× magnification using the CCD camera and VHS or DVD recorder. The microscope requires 1.5 kW of power and operates from room temperature to 1500 °C. Samples can be solid, liquid or powder, with a choice of air, inert gas or vacuum atmospheres.
