Del Mar Photonics has introduced the Trestles Ti:sapphire laser system, which combines the Trestles Ti:sapphire oscillator with a compact 4-W diode-pumped solid-state pump laser. The mode-locked femtosecond laser is designed for ultrafast applications and for seeding Ti:sapphire amplifier systems. The pump laser generates a near-diffraction-limited TEM00 beam with power stability of better than 1% at 532 nm. It delivers >4 W of power and requires no water cooling. Pulse lengths range from <20 to 100 fs. Models provide ultrafast pulse generation centered at 800 nm and are tunable from 710 to 950 nm with multiple mirror sets.
