The HSI-K02 near-to-eye module provides incredibly bright, full-color, high-resolution SVGA images using Brillian’s Z86D-3 liquid-crystal-on-silicon microdisplay. Experience images with up to 400 Fl of brightness in RGB mode. A generous field of view, long eye relief, a large eyebox, generous view aperture and low distortion are all enabled in this innovative design. The microdisplay module employs the latest LED illumination technology. Holoeye can customize LED selections for brightness and wavelength. By driving monochrome modes, brightness of more that 1000FL is possible. The HSI-K02 is well-suited for battery-operated products. Low operating currents and adjustable illumination schemes to the right brightness level save power and extend battery life. It employs a heater and temperature sensor to operate at –32°C(-25.6°F). Operation without a heater is possible above 0°C (32°F). Liquid crystal technology paired with an organic LED illumination results in durability and reliability. Extreme hot and cold temperatures outside the operational temperature of the device will not harm the design. The HSI-K02 is suitable for daylight applications, where brightness is important, such as in see-through designs, augmented reality and natural scenes with data overlays.
