Valdor’s new Tri-HeptoWave wavelength division multiplexer (WDM 1310/1490/1550) is targeted for the fiber-to-the-curb (FTTC), fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) markets. Based on Impact Mount technology, the Tri-HeptoWave WDM (310/1490/1550) is a 3-in-1 add/drop utilizing the HeptoPort self-aligned two-dimensional fiber bundle connection. There are two add/drops with 18 ports in this special LGX. The Tri-HeptoWave WDM (1310/1490/1550) significantly reduces the total add/drop cost and space by up to a factor of three. Valdor’s new HeptoPort product enables a single optical filter with three wavelengths (1310/1490/1550) to be shared by up to three add/drop multiplexers. This product offers excellent channel bandwidth, flexible channel configuration, low insertion loss and high isolation. The Tri-HeptoWave WDM (310/1490/1550) has the highest density per surface area to interconnect optical elements. All Valdor products are epoxy-free in the optical path.
