For Ti:S Ultrafast Lasers
BOULDER, Colo., March 24, 2006 -- Alpine Research Optics (ARO) has introduced two new series of mirrors intended for demanding beam-steering tasks in Ti:S ultrafast laser applications. The new B-Max series mirrors are optimized to deliver the broadest possible bandwidth (>99.8% reflectivity from 735 nm to 880 nm), while the E-Max high reflectors are specifically optimized to attain the highest pulse energy damage threshold, ARO said. Both coatings are designed to maintain transform limited-pulse performance by minimizing group velocity dispersion (GVD) and third-order dispersion (TOD).

B-Max and E-Max coated mirrors are available as stock products at either 0° or 45° angle of incidence, on both 25-mm (1 inch) and 50-mm (2 inch) diameter fused-silica substrates. In addition to these standard components, ARO can readily customize these coatings in terms of center wavelength, bandwidth and dispersion characteristics, and can also fabricate these mirrors on a broad range of substrate materials and sizes.
