Engineering-Synthesis.jpgEngineering Synthesis Design Inc. (ESDI) has released Quantum 5, a spherical scatter radiometer for scatter measurement. It measures light radiated into a hemisphere or a sphere in real time with 0.2° resolution. The patent-pending technology allows complete hemispherical and spherical measurements with minimal blind spots, and the optical design produces the same scatter/radiant signature, regardless of the spot size. The instrument provides 60-ms capture times, enabling video capture of high-resolution data with a 14-bit dynamic range. It comes with Quantum Analysis Software, which performs radiometric analysis on the captured data and which can be used to automate the collection process. Scatter functions are provided in 3-D.
