Integrated into the system structure of Leybold Optics GmbH’s Syruspro coating system family, the OMS 5000 optical monitoring system performs right on the calotte. The system provides direct and reliable control of optical properties such as reflectance and transmittance. The company says that it offers high signal resolution, low signal noise and multiwavelength capability. Elimination of the tooling factor between a stationary test slide and the rotating calotte results in high accuracy and repeatability. The system provides full software support. Calibration batches and test runs before production can be virtually eliminated, and the machine can be changed quickly from one design to another. Multiple-cavity and narrowband-line filters can be achieved on the calotte.
