Available from Scanlab AG is a compact 3-D scan system for high-power disk or fiber lasers. The intelliWeld 30 FC is suitable for high-speed laser beam positioning tasks in robotic welding systems. It has a 30-mm aperture and optics designed for fiber-coupled lasers with power of up to 5 kW. Spot welds of approximately 600 µm can be formed with a 185 × 185 × 80-mm processing volume. The free working distance of more than 500 mm protects the scan head from excessive contamination. A sealed housing and a double window also protect the scan head and the objective.
