A fully integrated positioning system for use with inverted microscopes has been unveiled by Mad City Labs for optical microscopy, nanomanipulation, confocal and fluorescence imaging and single-molecule spectroscopy applications. The Nano-View/M combines a manual micrometer-driven, two-axis, linear motion stage with an ultralow-profile, high-resolution nanopositioning system that provides picometer resolution under closed-loop control. Range of motion extends up to 200 µm per X-, Y- or Z-axis. Using proprietary Pico technology, the internal position sensors provide absolute and repeatable measurement. The system includes the Nano-Drive controller and is compatible with user-written LabView software.
