The Nanovea series surface science research instruments from Micro Photonics Inc. include nano- and microhardness systems, scratch and adhesion testers, and tribometers. The nanoindentation instrument has an integrated Ibis module with multifrequency indentation technology. The indentation and scratch platforms use an automatic sensor to replace the manual process of lowering the tip to the surface, preventing the tip from crashing and damaging the sample. The tribometers perform pin-on-disk, linear reciprocating, high-temperature and high-load measurements. Options include a trimode lubrication system, a wear displacement sensor, a rotating connector, an electrical resistance contact detector and a humidity control system.
