Trumpf.jpgTrumpf Inc. has unveiled a five-axis laser machine, the TLC 1000 Hybrid, which has a moving table in the X-axis and a cantilever Y-axis. The table accommodates parts up to 500 kg. The system’s configuration enables cutting and welding of 2- and 3-D parts, and an optional rotary axis performs tube cutting or welding of round parts. Features include a 5- or 7-in. cutting head and a work envelope of 118 in. in the X-axis, 65 in. in the Y-axis and 30 in. in the Z-axis. The B-axis is ±120°, and continuous rotation of the C-axis enables programming of parts via an off-line system. An optional digital interface enables integration of third-party equipment, including clamps, sensors and rotary devices. Axis accuracy is 0.1 mm, with repeatability of ≤0.03 mm.
