Princeton Instruments/Acton said its ExciLife coatings are a significant breakthrough in high-performance, 193-nm laser mirror coatings, designed for OEM applications in which high durability and long-term resistance to laser damage are critical.

ExciLife-193 coatings are guaranteed to have better than 97-percent reflectance at 193 nm. They also pass MIL SPEC adhesion, abrasion and humidity tests, making them the most robust ultraviolet coatings available.

In addition, in lifetime testing, this 45-degree design was tested with an argon fluoride, 193-nm excimer laser at 300 mj/cm2, 100 and 200 Hz for 2 million laser pulses with no damage or change in reflectivity.
